Fidelity in microwave billiards

Fidelity sometimes also called Loschmidt echo is a standard benchmark in quantum information and measures the stability of a quantum system against perturbations. It is also relevant in the discussions on quantum chaotic systems. Efforts to measure fidelity are therefore very important. Unfortunately to measure fidelity is difficult, therefore the scattering fidelity is introduced. In this talk I present different experimental results for fidelity depending on the various type of perturbations (global, local, etc.) and even an extension to disordered and open systems.
