Stemming from the French Investments for the Future program, SATT Sud Est, Accelerator of Technology Transfer in, is focused on turning the discoveries and know-how of public research into solutions for the industrial sector. Its core business involves bringing high-potential inventions developed by regional laboratories to readiness on legal (intellectual property), economic (market) and technical (proof of concept) levels. SATT supports the development of companies, particularly regional SMEs, through partnerships with Competitiveness Clusters. It supports innovative start-up creation in South Eastern France, through partnerships with business incubators.
In this context, a maturation program is started on validation of new compounds grafted polymers on titanium oxide nanoparticules.
Attached to the project manager from the Materials, Environment and information within the SATT South East, you will be in charge, in the laboratory, of the synthesis and development of new grafted polymers on titanium nanoparticules. With the research team and the companies involved in the project, you will optimize the research to obtain a project, which can be transferred to industry. The work will be done within the LPMC (laboratoire de Physique de la Matière Condensée), research unit Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis/CNRS. The project will be related to synthesis and scale-up of new compounds.
The candidate must hold a PhD in polymer science or related field and should have a good experience in polymer synthesis and characterization (NMR, IR, contact angle measurements, dynamic light scattering-DLS-). Skills in organic chemistry and/or surface functionnalisation of nanomaterials will be appreciated.
