Exotic properties of water under extreme conditions - July 13-16, 2016

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce and call for contributions for the forthcoming workshop on

Exotic properties of water under extreme conditions

that will take place at the Hotel Le Saint Paul in Nice (France) on July 13-16, 2016.

This event will bring together leading experimental, theoretical, and computational scientists from among the unusually broad community of researchers interested in water physics and chemistry under extreme conditions, where extreme reads from deep supercooled regimes to very high or negative pressures, ultrashort time scales, extreme confinement, etc…

There are opportunities for oral and poster presentations. Registration and abstract submission are open on the website now through March 25th, 2016. We note that the conference room can only accommodate 80 participants. Please register as soon as possible. The organizers will select participants for poster and oral presentations based on submitted abstracts.

We have an excellent group of keynote speakers (see list here). We expect attendees representing physics, chemistry, earth and atmospheric science, and biology. The workshop will provide an intimate context in which to learn the state of the art in this field and make connections across disciplines.

Please note that the dates chosen allow to easily go on with the StatPhys conference in Lyon (18-22 July 2016).

We would be very grateful if you could circulate the conference notice to your colleagues, post-docs, and Ph.D. students, and encourage them to submit talks and/or posters.

We are looking forward to seeing you near the Baie des Anges !
